Manila – April 03, 2010 8:58 PM – The newly launched Visita Iglesia online edition swooped to top with more than 42,000 visitors in just 5 days. The online edition of visita iglesia was launched by CBPC’s bishops last Maunday Thursday to reached those Filipino Catholics working abroad and sick who could not do visita iglesia (church visits) during Holy Thursday.

Due to massive number of visitors,Visita Iglesia site are noticeably slows down every minutes around afternoon and evening on April 01, 2010.

Msgr. Pedro Quitorio, CBCP Media Director said “We’re not prepared for such big viewership. But we are trying to make bandwidth adjustments”.

I just visited Visita Iglesia online edition today and I was able to access the site with no problem.  It’s either because the visitors are reduced or CBCP’s bandwith are fixed this time to accommodate more visitors who want to do church visits.
